American Red Cross

American Red Cross lifeguarding students must be at least 15 years old to take the class, and pass a pre-course swimming skills test prior to taking our courses. Once students are enrolled, they’ll receive the latest science-based training from experienced instructors, and develop skills they’ll use for a lifetime.

Our lifeguarding course will help you not only help others stay safe in, on, and around the water, but can help you learn the latest safety and rescue techniques, and deliver critical care, like CPR, first aid, and AED administration, when it’s needed most. And although every class varies, each will cover a variety of important skills that can not only help you stay safe and help others enjoy the water safely, but can help you begin, or advance, your career.

In addition to full courses, abbreviated recertification courses are also available for those who hold current lifeguarding certifications.
