Youth Sports
🏅 Cane Bay Family YMCA Youth Sports
At the YMCA, our Youth Sports programs promote healthy kids, families, and communities by prioritizing family involvement, healthy competition, and the value of participation over winning. We emphasize team building, and we encourage parents to be more than just spectators—they can contribute their time as volunteer coaches and team parents while being their child’s biggest fans! 🎉
Our family branch specializes in a variety of youth sports, including:
- ⚾ Coach Pitch
- 🥎 T-Ball
- ⚾ Baseball
- ⚽ Soccer
- 🏀 Basketball
- 🏐 Volleyball
- 🏈 Flag Football
- 🎀 Cheerleading

🌟 What Makes Youth Sports at the Y Special?
- Values-Based: Coaches build their instruction on the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Inclusive: We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive through participation in youth sports.
- Skill Development: Players learn teamwork, develop a winning mindset, and practice to enhance their skills.
Join us in creating a positive and enriching experience for our youth! 💪
IMPORTANT YMCA POLICIES:
- Age at Registration: Age divisions for all youth sports are determined by the child’s age at the time of registration. We are not able to make exceptions based on birthdays that occur after registration closes.
- No Refunds: All youth sports registrations are final and nonrefundable. This includes situations involving injuries, schedule conflicts, team placement, division composition, or withdrawal from the program. We appreciate your understanding as we plan staffing, uniforms, schedules, and facilities for the full season in advance.
- Accommodation Requests: The YMCA accepts one registration accommodation request per participant. Requests are not guaranteed, and not receiving a requested accommodation does not qualify for a refund. Once rosters are finalized, we are unable to make adjustments to accommodate requests that could not be fulfilled.
- Registering for Multiple Sports: If a participant registers for multiple sports that run during the same season, please understand that practices and games may overlap. Our youth sports programs serve thousands of participants each season, and schedules are built around available facility space, volunteer coach availability, and field or court access at the YMCA as well as other host sites depending on the sport. Because of these factors, we are unable to accommodate conflicts between multiple sports once teams and schedules have been finalized.
