Cane Bay Family YMCA Afterschool & Holiday Camp Program
The Cane Bay Family YMCA offers a year-round program combining our engaging Afterschool Program with enriching Holiday Camps. Designed to support families, we provide a safe, fun, and interactive environment where children can thrive after school and during school breaks.
Afterschool Program
Our Afterschool Program is filled with exciting activities that promote learning, socialization, and physical fitness. Children participate in:
- Homework assistance
- Physical fitness and active play
- S.T.E.M. projects
- Socialization and gameplay opportunities
We also provide a daily snack—just send your child with a refillable water bottle (no glass, please).
Hours of Operation:
- Regular Days: From school dismissal until 6:00 PM
- Half Days: Program begins at school dismissal until 6:00 PM
- A $2 per minute late fee applies after 6:01 PM.
- If your child is not picked up by 7:00 PM, local authorities will be contacted.
Transportation:
- Students from Cane Bay Elementary, Cane Bay Middle, and students living in Cane Bay Plantation attending Westview Primary, Westview Elementary, and Westview Middle Schools may ride the school bus to the YMCA.
- A 72-hour notice is required for the YMCA to coordinate transportation with the school and the transportation department. Confirmation is required before the school bus schedule is finalized.
Holiday Camps
When school is out, the fun doesn’t stop! We offer Holiday Camps during school breaks, including Veterans Day, Winter Break, and other school closure days. These camps include interactive games, themed activities, and physical fitness to keep children engaged and entertained.
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Extended care available from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM for an additional fee)
Program Details and Fees
- Registration Fee: $75 per child (non-refundable)
- Weekly Afterschool Fees:
- Members: $100 per week
- Non-Members: $130 per week
- Holiday Camp Fees (per day):
- Members: $25 (Extended Care: $15/day)
- Non-Members: $35 (Extended Care: $15/day)
Important Information
- Behavior & Individual Needs: If your child has an IEP, behavior concerns, or requires one-on-one assistance, please contact us at [email protected] prior to registration.
- The IEP must be submitted and reviewed before enrollment confirmation.
- Payment Policy:
- Fees must be paid whether your child is present or absent.
- Cancellation requests must be sent at least 7 days before the scheduled payment date to [email protected].
- Accounts delinquent by 5 days may result in discontinuation of service. Please notify the program director of any financial challenges in advance.
