Welcome to Y Dance!
Welcome to Y Dance, and thank you for your interest in our dance program! We provide a relaxed, fun-filled atmosphere while promoting a positive learning environment through STEAM, which incorporates the arts into STEM education.
We are honored that you have chosen the YMCA of Greater Charleston to introduce you and your child to the WORLD OF DANCE!
Arts and humanities became a YMCA core program area in 1998. Today, more than 750 YMCAs provide arts programming, helping children develop creativity, confidence, discipline, and self-expression.
The YMCA of Greater Charleston Y Dance Program specializes in several dance techniques, including:
Balletic (Modern Ballet & African Mix) • Tap • Jazz/Hip-Hop

Studio Entrance: The entrance is located on Sumter Street, behind the Citadel Military College Football Stadium, on the rear side of the school.
PROGRAM FEES & PAYMENT INFORMATION
All fees are non-refundable.
Registration Fee: $75 per student, due at registration.
Students must be registered for the class that corresponds with their age at the time of registration.
Monthly Payments: All monthly program fees will be automatically drafted on the 15th of each month.
Insufficient Funds: A $30 fee will be added for all insufficient-funds transactions.
Recital & Annual Program Fees
The total program fee includes all recital-related costs, including costumes, theater expenses, and other recital costs.
Regardless of a participant’s start date, the full 8-month program fee must be paid in order to participate in the recital.
