Y Dance @ Burke High School
Welcome to Y Dance and thank you for your interest in our dance program! We have a relaxed, fun-filled atmosphere while still promoting a positive learning environment through STEAM, the arts component of STEM. We are honored that you have chosen the YMCA to expose you and your child to the WORLD OF DANCE.
Arts and humanities became a YMCA core program area in 1998. Today there are more than 750 YMCA’s providing arts programming. YMCA’s serve 500,000 children in child care each year. They are especially well-positioned to lead arts programming for kids. The YMCA of Greater Charleston Y Dance program is a program that specializes in various techniques of Dance, Balletic (Modern Ballet and African mix), Tap, and Jazz/Hip-Hop.

All Fees are Non-Refundable
Registration Fees – $75.00 per student due at registration
You will only be able to register for classes according to age of participant as of
September 1, 2024.
All monthly fees will be auto drafted on the 1st of each month
There will be a $30.00 fee added for all insufficient funds transactions.
Total Program Fees covers ALL recital cost, costumes, theater, etc.
(regardless of participants start date, the total 9 month program
fees will be due in order to participate in the recital to cover ALL costs)
SATURDAY SESSION CLASS SCHEDULE
Beg 1- 5-6 years.
9:00 AM – 9:45 AM (45 minutes) Ballet and Tap$70/month ($630/year)
Beg 2 – 7-9 years.
9:50 AM – 10:50 AM (1 hour) Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Hip-Hop $75/month ($675/year)
Inter 1 – 10-12- years.
10:55 AM-11:55 PM (1 hour) Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Hip-Hop. $80/month ($720/year)
Advanced – 13-15 years
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (1 hour) Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Hip-Hop $80/month ($720/year)
*Class times may be extended if needed for recital rehearsals in 2025
