Spring Break Camp 2024

1. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Campers can look forward to having loads of fun with us during their holiday break from school!

At the YMCA, we are passionate about quality and safety. Parents can enjoy peace of mind that their child will be engaged in meaningful activities like arts and crafts and fun, unique games. All our actions align with children’s needs and encourage new experiences, meeting new friends, and making new memories. Every day allows your child to discover who they are and build their confidence.

* The YMCA of Greater Charleston will be hosting Spring Break Camp at the Cane Bay location (16565 Cane Bay Blvd, Summerville, SC 29486)

* Any child attending school between the ages of 5 and 13 years old can register.

*Spring Break Camp dates:04/01, 04/02, 04/03, 04/04, and 04/05

* Daily drop off starts at 7:00 am and ends at 9:00 am and daily pick up is by 4:00 pm. Extended-day pickup is by 6:00 pm.

* Activities include themed arts and crafts, small group games, skits, outdoor field games, reading, and more..

* We will have a scheduled time each day for lunch and 2 snacks.

* Campers are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes.

Our Winter Break Camp and Spring Break Camp offers unforgettable experiences for your child. From arts and crafts to swimming, to sports, there is something fun for all. Your child will have a memorable Winter Break and make lifelong friendships.

SPRING BREAK CAMP WILL BE CONTINGENT UPON THE AMOUNT OF REGISTERED CAMPERS

Spring has sprung….It’s time to have some FUN!!!

●Monday, April 1, 2024: Music and Motion: a fun day of participating in numerous activities that
promotes movement. They will move and groove to the music as they engage in team-building
activities!!!
●Tuesday, April 2, 2024: Wonder and Creativity: this day will center around prediction and
comparisons as the children engage in various STEM activities.
●Wednesday, April 3, 2024: Building: this day will consist of working as a group to develop a structure
of their choice. The campers will create a team flag to represent their group/building. After
constructing their building, they will play a game of “capture the flag”. Who will conquer all the flags
and become the “Bravest Builder”?
●Thursday, April 4, 2024: Exploration: the campers will create “friendship rocks”. Our little explorers
will travel the trails, collect items along the way, and explore the neighborhoods. Make sure to wave if
you see your little explore traveling through your neighborhood. They will be placing their “friendship
rocks” along the trails or somewhere in the neighborhoods. Will you find an “Explorer Rock”?
●Friday, April 5, 2024: Farewell Friday: Water Safety means so much more than knowing how to swim.
Bring your swimming gear, the campers will have some fun learning about water safety. Spring Break
Camp will end with a glow party as our campers say farewell to their friends.
